Junior Samantha Beasley (San Diego/Steele Canyon HS) and sophomore Bailey Micetich (Woodland, Calif.) combined to pitch a one-hitter, while junior Eva Sahatdjian (Fresno, Calif.) homered and drove in four runs in San Diego State's 7-0 victory over 2009 NCAA participant Bradley Friday in Columbia, Mo. It was the sixth consecutive victory for the Aztecs (14-8), who had their nightcap game against No. 21/25 Illinois canceled due to inclement weather.

SDSU has outscored the opposition, 31-2, over the six-game stretch, including shutouts in each of the past four contests. The San Diego State pitching staff has limited its opponents to just five hits (.076 batting average) over the past three games and 15 (.114 batting average) over the six-game winning streak.

Beasley (10-5), who yesterday was named the Mountain West Conference Pitcher of the Week for the third time this season, started the game for the Aztecs and allowed one hit and a walk over four innings of work. She struck out seven of the 14 batters she faced to win her fifth straight game. The 2009 MWC Freshman of the Year, Micetich tossed three perfect innings of relief with four strikeouts for her first career save.

Beasley and Micetich were helped by a 12-hit game by the SDSU offense. Sahatdjian led the way with two hits, including a three-run home run in the bottom of the third inning, and four RBIs. Senior Brittany Knudsen (San Diego/Escondido HS) singled, doubled, walked and scored twice, while freshman Tanya Holguin (Woodland, Calif.) had two hits and a run.

San Diego State broke open a scoreless game with five runs in the third. Speedy sophomore Felicia Reifschneider (San Diego/Morse HS) reached on an error by the Brave (9-7) pitcher, then moved to second on Knudsen's bunt single. After a sacrifice bunt by redshirt senior Monica Alnes (Rancho Palos Verdes, Calif.) and a lineout, Sahatdjian cleared the left field fence with her second homer of the season.

Holguin, junior Traci Wolf (Lancaster, Calif.) and junior Jen Wisneski (Riverside, Calif.) kept the two-out rally going by loading the bases with consecutive singles. Junior Jessica Camello (Temecula, Calif.) followed with a two-run single to put the Aztecs on top, 5-0, after three.

In the fourth, Sahatdjian came through again with a two-out single up the middle that scored Knudsen.

Freshman Patrice Jackson (Kansas City, Mo.) led off the fifth with a walk and moved to second on Wisneski's sacrifice. After Camello reached on an error that kept Jackson at second, freshman Kamerin May (Corona, Calif.) plated her on a pinch-hit single up the middle.

The Aztecs continue their play in the Children's Hospital Invitational Saturday with games against No. 3/3 and host Missouri (noon CT/10 a.m. PT) and Illinois State (6 p.m. CT/4 p.m. PT).
