The San Diego State men's basketball team will enter the Conoco MWC Championships as the No. 4 seed and will face fifth-seeded Colorado State. The quarterfinal-round game will take place at 2:30 p.m. PT on Thursday, March 11, at the Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas, Nev.

The game will be televised live on The Mtn. and will be simulcast on CBS College Sports and in the San Diego market on Channel 4 San Diego. Fans can also listen to Ted Leitner call the game on XTRA Sports 1360 AM.

This will be the third meeting between the Aztecs and Rams this season. SDSU won the first matchup, 64-52, in Fort Collins, and completed the season sweep with a 68-55 victory at Viejas Arena just three days ago.

San Diego State has won six straight in the series, which is the Aztecs' best run in series history. In fact, SDSU has won 10 consecutive regular-season meetings, but the Rams' last victory in the series came at the 2007 MWC Championships in Las Vegas. That day, CSU defeated the Scarlet and Black, 69-64, in the quarterfinals.

This marks the third straight season in which the Aztecs enter the conference tournament as the No. 4 seed. In 2008, San Diego State defeated Air Force in the quarterfinals before falling to Brigham Young in semifinals. A year ago, SDSU beat UNLV on its home floor and took care of top-seeded BYU before falling in the title game vs. Utah. The Aztecs are 3-2 all-time as the four seed in MWC history.
