San Diego State Head Coach Steve Fisher
Opening statement:

"I thought the first half we did an exceptional job with our defense. The one negative point at halftime was our inability to take care of the ball; we had too many turnovers. In the second half, we got sloppy with our rebounding. We cannot give a team 15 offensive rebounds. I told them afterwards that we have high expectations, and you can't be doing those kinds of things if you want to get where we want to go. But overall, I was proud of our effort and pleased that we were able to finish the regular season 14-1 at home."

On D.J. Gay's defensive effort holding CSU's top scorer Dorian Green scoreless:
"D.J. has done a superlative job guarding the best perimeter on the other team and he did it again tonight. He took a very good freshman in (Dorian) Green and made him look like a freshman."

On Kelvin Davis' last home game:
"Kelvin has been such a wonderful representative of San Diego State. It was good to see him bounce out there with a lot of energy and do what he loves to do, and that's play basketball."

On Ben Kneller:
"Our (assistant) coaches came to me a couple of weeks ago and asked what we could do to give Ben a special thank you. He hadn't even certified, so we had to go through all the red tape and we tried not to tell him until today. We didn't know --- and neither did he --- until 2 o'clock today that he was going to dress. It was really nice, and I told our players at our shoot-around that he was going to dress. D.J. (Gay) made a point (on the inbounds pass) to say, `You take it out, I'll throw it back and they'll foul you.' I was jusr pleased that he didn't go 0-for-2 (from the foul line)."

From the AM 600 KOGO interview
Opening Statement:
"We really defended especially well in the first half. I was happy for Kelvin (Davis) that we went out with a victory for him on our last home game. I was proud of D.J. (Gay) for saying `Ben (Kneller), I'm going to find you the ball to make a free-throw.' I was happy that we could have him (Kneller) as a part of our team tonight. It was a team win, and it was one we needed to get."

On D.J. Gay:
"He knows how to play. He knows how to avoid contact and get where he needs to go. He wants to guard the best player on the perimeter of the other team and he never gets tired. We took him out for one minute tonight and he played 40 minutes at BYU. He's a really good performer on offense and defense."

On playing in front of a good home crowd:
"All good teams have an edge from the opening tip. That can mean the difference between winning and not winning. We can thank our students for giving us that edge. Our fans have been a part of what we're doing and we like that."

San Diego State Senior Guard Kelvin Davis
On playing senior night:
"Well it wasn't my first one; it was my second. It was really great to play in my senior night because last year I didn't get to. I just went out there and had a great night. I counted on my teammates and got the victory, most importantly."

San Diego State Junior Guard D.J. Gay
On playing defense agianst Colorado State guard Dorian Green:
"I tried to put a lot of pressure on him early to make it uncomfortable for him to get his shot off. I just tried to be on his hip every second of the game, and I think it kind of wore him down a little bit. He didn't take many shots today, which is surprising since he is a very good player and a very good scorer. I think he still did a good job of running his team."

On playing teams lower in the conference standings to end the season:
"I think the main focus is us right now. Air Force is a very good team, and we are playing them at their house. They like to slow the pace down a lot, so we have to go in to practice tomorrow and work on that; just work on executing. If we play the way that we want to play then we shouldn't get beat too often."

San Diego State Freshman Forward Kawhi Leonard
On why he values his rebounding more than his scoring:
"It's easy to score, but it's hard to get rebounds. People will be crashing, people will be boxing me out; two or three people are (usually) stopping me before I can run in, so I'm always proud to go up and get a rebound. It helps the team out."

Colorado State Head Coach Tim Miles
On the game:
"At the end of the game I felt like we had reached a point where we played with relaxation on offense and urgency on defense. Early in the game, when we got a little rattled, we had played just the opposite. We really didn't have much urgency on defense. We just stood in front of guys. On offense we played hurried basketball."

On team rebounding compared to last game (at TCU):
"We were better. We can be a good rebounding team. We have to live on the offensive glass a little bit, and get to the foul line a little bit, and tonight we did but we just didn't make our foul shots. We missed about seven of them and we need to get to the line about 25 times instead of 16. Offensive boards mean a lot for getting to the foul line."
