SAN DIEGO - The San Diego State water polo program will hold a four-day camp, June 28-July 1, 2010, at Aztec Aquaplex. The camp will offer high school boys and girls an opportunity to develop their skills, experience college-level position work and have the chance to compete against other skilled athletes. The SDSU water polo camp is open to any and all boys and girls ages 13-18.
While at the camp, participants will interact with Aztec head coach Carin Crawford and current San Diego State players. There will be three water sessions per day, including tournament games each evening, dry-land training in the SDSU strength and conditioning facility, a specialized goalkeeper clinic, and an ocean swim at La Jolla Cove. Former U.S. men's junior team coach and current Coronado High School boys head coach Randall Burgess will direct the boys camp.
Also included with the camp is a San Diego Trolley ride to watch a San Diego Padres baseball game, a three-night stay in the dorms on campus for those who decide to become a resident camper, and transportation to and from San Diego State from the airport and to the various excursions.
Tuition for resident campers, which includes the dorms and meals, is $575, while the day camper tuition is $475.
