COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - A total of 13 members of the San Diego State women's swimming and diving team have been named to the 2010 all-Mountain West Conference team based on their performances at the recently completed MWC Swimming & Diving Championships held in Oklahoma City this past weekend.
To be placed on the all-conference team, an individual must place in the top eight in the finals of their event. For the relays, the all-conference team consists of the top three finishers in each race. SDSU had all five of its relay quartets earn all-MWC honors.

Six of those athletes set new a total of nine San Diego State records in individual events during the MWC Championships led by freshman Katelyn Weddle (100 and 200 breast), Meghan Zimmer (500 free, 200 free) and Leona Jennings (200 back, 200 IM). New Aztec records were set by Brooke Vessey (200 fly) and Stephanie Koch (50 free).
In addition to those nine individual marks, the Aztecs also set new school records in each of the five relay events during the championship meet for a total of 14 over the four-day meet. SDSU swimmers captured first place in sox if 13 individual races and three of the five relays during the Championships. SDSU's third-place was its best since joing the MWC for the 1999-2000 season.
Several swimmers turned in NCAA B times last week as well as during the regular season and will find out later this week which athletes will qualify for an invitations to the NCAA Championships to be contested March 18-20 in West Lafayette, Ind.
