AZTEC STORY LINES
- San Diego State (2-1) looks to rebound from its first loss of the season when it travels to Seattle to face Portland in a neutral-site contest on Saturday and nationally ranked Washington on Sunday. Both non-conference matches are set for 10 a.m. PT at Nordstrom Tennis Center on the University of Washington campus.

- SDSU dropped a 5-2 decision to No. 58 UC Irvine last Saturday. The Aztecs won the doubles point, but could not solve the Anteaters in singles. Sierra Ellison was a double winner after winning with her sister, Roxanne, at No. 1 doubles and pocketing a straight-sets victory at No. 5 singles.

- The Aztecs will face the Pilots for the first time ever. The Huskies are a different story. San Diego State is 6-8 all-time vs. Washington and has lost three straight to the Pac-10 school. SDSU lost both meetings a year ago, one in San Diego and the other in the first round of the NCAA Tournament in Los Angeles. The Aztecs' last win in the series came in 2007 (W, 7-0).

- This will be the second time San Diego State and Washington have met this year. The Huskies participated in the SDSU Fall Classic II and won all six matches against the Aztecs (five singles, one doubles)

- Roxanne Ellison and Sierra Ellison have been dominant all year long in doubles. The sisters are 3-0 this spring and 10-3 for the 2009-10 campaign.

- Head coach Peter Mattera is in his 17th season. The San Diego State graduate has guided the Aztecs to a 247-169 record and to 11 NCAA Tournament appearances, including a berth in the tourney last season.
