AZTEC STORY LINES
- San Diego State continues its three-match homestand this Saturday, Feb. 27, when it plays host to No. 47 Sacramento State at Aztec Tennis Center. No. 65 SDSU is looking to snap a two-match losing streak after falling to 10th-ranked USC on Tuesday.

- The Aztecs are coming off a week in which their match at No. 59 Arizona was canceled due to inclement weather and their contest against the Women of Troy finished in an undesirable manner. Tuesday marked the first time this season that San Diego State has not produced a win following a loss. The Aztecs were 2-0 after losses prior to dropping the decision to USC.

- Freshman Alicia Aguilar is having a fantastic freshman season to date. Aguilar is 6-2 on the season and is fresh off a victory over No. 19 Alison Ramos of USC. The first-year player was a 3-6, 6-1, 6-4 winner at No. 2 singles and her six wins leads the team.

- Julia Trunk is having a stellar season as well. The junior is 5-3 during the dual-match season and already owns a victory over No. 11 Venise Chan of Washington. As a result of her success, Trunk is currently the 58th-best singles player in NCAA Division I, according to the latest ITA rankings.

- Saturday's get-together with the Hornets is just the second all-time meeting in the history of the series. The fellow Cal State University made the trip to Montezuma Mesa last season and the Aztecs earned the 5-2 victory. The win was the first of a season-long five-match winning streak.

- The duo of Roxanne and Sierra Ellison snapped a three-match losing streak with their win over USC's Maria Sanchez and Lyndsay Kinstler at No. 1 doubles. The two own a dual-match record of 5-3, with seven of those decisions coming at No. 1.
