SAN DIEGO - The remainder of the 20th annual Campbell/Cartier Classic on Sunday has been canceled due to inclement weather.
Western Kentucky defeated Utah State, 13-3, in six innings in the early game, but rain forced a delay in the No. 1/1 Washington-Penn State matchup with the score tied at 0-0 after three innings. After the weather didn't improve, the rest of the tournament was canceled, including San Diego State's scheduled game against Utah State.
The Aztecs (7-3) will play host to Cal State Northridge at 6 p.m. Wednesday, before traveling to the Palm Springs area to compete in the Cathedral City Classic next weekend against Oklahoma, Fordham, Baylor, Texas A&M and California.
