SAN DIEGO - San Diego State swimming and diving continues to attract national attention and has moved up to the No. 33 spot in the latest poll released by the College Swimming Coaches Association of America (CSCAA). The ranking is the highest ever for the SDSU swim program as the Aztecs moved up eight spots from the previous poll.
San Diego State concluded its 2009-10 regular season with an overall record of 12-3, the highest winning percentage and most wins in a season in the program history. In addition, the team's 5-3 mark in Mountain West Conference action and fourth-place finish in the final league standings were Aztec all-time bests as well.
The Aztecs are currently preparing to compete at the 2010 MWC Championships scheduled to take place Feb. 24-27 in Oklahoma City. The team will be looking to improve on last season's results when it finished sixth, tying its highest placing ever in the 10 year history of the conference title meet.
