With the regular season quickly winding down, the San Diego State women's basketball team (15-9) heads to Salt Lake City for a critical match-up with Utah, beginning at 2 p.m. MST/1 p.m. PT at the Huntsman Center. The Aztecs will be playing their third consecutive nationally-televised game, as this Sunday's meeting will be shown live on The Mtn. with Ann Schatz (play-by-play) and Andrea Lloyd (color) calling the action.
SDSU is coming off its biggest win of the season, knocking off No. 23/25 TCU in resounding fashion, 84-61, Tuesday at Viejas Arena. The victory ended the team's three-game losing skid and is its' first in four chances over a top 25 foe in 2009-10.
The Aztecs remain tied for third place with Wyoming in the MWC standings with a 7-5 record and only four games left to play. The Lady Frogs are a half game up on BYU for the league lead, as both teams have three losses.
Utah, meanwhile, is only a half game in back of the Aztecs at 6-5 and has won three of its last four and five of its last seven to also bring a 15-9 record into Sunday's contest. The Utes held UNLV to just 35 points on Wednesday for a 51-35 victory in Las Vegas.
