GENERAL NOTES
* San Diego State improves to 19-7 and 8-4 in the Mountain West Conference with its third straight victory.
* The Aztecs' 19 wins after 26 games is one victory ahead of last season's pace when SDSU won a school-record 26 games.
* San Diego State won its seventh road game of the season, which is one more than the total amount of road wins the team won in 2006-07, 2007-08 and 2008-09. All three of those teams finished with six road victories.
* The last time San Diego State won seven or more road games in a season was during 2005-06 campaign. That year, the Aztecs finished 7-5 on the road, won the MWC regular season and tournament titles and advanced to the NCAA Tournament.
* With only one Mountain West Conference game taking place tonight, the Aztecs (8-4) sit alone in third place in the MWC, a half-game ahead of the UNLV (7-4), and behind New Mexico (9-2) and BYU (8-2). All three teams are in action on Wednesday.
* SDSU won its fourth straight game over TCU and its second in a row at Daniel-Meyer Coliseum. The Aztecs are now 9-4 all-time vs. the Horned Frogs and 8-1 during the Mountain West Conference era.
* SDSU shot a season-high 60.9 percent from the field and connected on 75.0 percent of its two-point field goals (27-for-36).
* Of the seven Aztecs to attempt a field goal, six shot 50 percent or better. Kelvin Davis missed both of his field-goal attempts, but he did make both of his free-throw attempts. Davis was the only Aztec to not miss a free throw.
* San Diego State improved to 12-1 when holding its opponents to 40 percent or less field-goal shooting.
* SDSU improved to 12-1 when holding opponents to less than 60 points this season.
* The Aztecs dominated the paint, outscoring the Horned Frogs, 48-14, in the painted area.
* San Diego State outrebounded TCU, 34-24, improving to 18-5 this year when doing so.
* Free throws have been a problem for SDSU this season, but three of the last four games the Aztecs have shot better than 61 percent.
* SDSU limited TCU to 51 points, the Horned Frogs' lowest home point total this year.
