San Diego State Women's Basketball Game Notes at UNLV in PDF Format
The San Diego State women's basketball team (14-8, 6-4 MWC) completes a two-game road swing Saturday when the Aztecs travel to Las Vegas, Nev., for another conference match-up with UNLV, beginning at 3 p.m. PT at Cox Pavilion. The game is being televised live on CBS College Sports with Ann Schatz (play-by-play) and former Aztec Tammy Blackburn (analysis) calling the action.
SDSU is playing back-to-back league road outings for the only time during its 2010 league slate, as the Aztecs dropped Wednesday's game at Wyoming, 63-51. In that contest, the visitors trailed by only two points heading into the final minute of the first half, but a pair of 3-pointers in a span of 43 seconds gave the Cowgirls an eight-point lead at the break, which they never ended up relinquishing.
San Diego State will attempt to end its first two-game losing streak since November against a team that it has defeated seven consecutive times, including earlier this season by 29 points, 70-41, in San Diego on Jan. 13. Since then UNLV, however, has logged wins at Utah, at Air Force, at home vs. Wyoming and most recently, overcoming a 10-point halftime deficit to win at New Mexico on Wednesday evening. The Lady Rebels enter the 41st all-time meeting between the two foes with an 11-13 record this season and a 4-6 mark in conference play.
Saturday's contest in Las Vegas features a live audio call with Chris Ello, as well as live stats on goaztecs.com.
