Arizona Invitational Day One Team and Individual Scores in PDF Format 
TUCSON, Ariz. - San Diego State sophomore Alex Kang overcame a double bogey on the opening hole of his second round to fire a 1-under-par 70, at the Arizona Invitational in Tucson, Ariz.
Earlier in the day, Kang opened with a 1-over-par 71 and is even through 36 holes at the event. As a team, 30th-ranked San Diego State is 11th out of 14 squads in a field featuring three of the nation's top 15 teams and six of the top 45 teams in the country. California, ranked 33rd nationally, leads the team event by seven strokes over the host school, Arizona.
Kang has plenty of Aztec company close to par, as three other San Diego State players are within five strokes of level. Sophomore J.J. Spaun recorded two rounds of one-over-par 72 and is 2-over for the event.
Junior Matt Hoffenberg rebounded from a first round 75 by shooting a 1-under-par 70 in his second round. Hoffenberg's 70 tied Kang for the low round by an Aztec on the day. Junior Johan Carlsson shot rounds of 73 and 74 and is 5-over-par through 36 holes.
