THE BIG NOTE
* San Diego State scored the first 12 points of the game and held Air Force off the scoreboard until the 10:15 mark of the first half. The Aztecs forced the Falcons into 0-for-9 field-goal shooting and four turnovers before scoring their first point.

GENERAL NOTES
* San Diego State improves to 16-6 on the season and is just one game behind last year's pace when SDSU won a school-record 26 games and completes the first half of conference play with a 5-3 league mark.

* This is the seventh time this season San Diego State has won a game in which it never trailed.

* The Aztecs improve to 10-1 at home this season and are 15-1 in their last 16 home outings and 25-2 in their last 27.

* SDSU has now won four straight against Air Force, which is the school's longest winning streak against the Falcons during the Steve Fisher era.

* San Diego State has won five straight home games against the Academy. The school record is six, which was accomplished twice from 1981-86 and 1993-98.

* The Aztecs improve to 43-20 all-time vs. Air Force and are 13-10 vs. the Falcons under Steve Fisher.

* San Diego State limited Air Force to 17 first-half points, which is the fewest since allowing Weber State to score 17 in the first half of last season's NIT.

* A 59.2-percent free-throw shooting team this year, San Diego State connected on 17-for-22 (77.3 percent) tonight.

PLAYER NOTES
* Kawhi Leonard (15 points, seven rebounds) - Leonard reached double figures in scoring for the 13th time this season... The freshman set a new career high for free throws... Leonard led the team in scoring for a team-best seventh time this year... Leonard's 7-for-7 free-throw effort was his best of his career.

* Malcolm Thomas (10 points, 12 rebounds) - Thomas posted his fourth double-double of the season and his 10th of his career... Thomas reached double figures in rebounding for the seventh time this season... He has grabbed seven or more boards in 11 of his last 12 games and 17 times this year... Thomas led the team in rebounding for the 11th time this year

* D.J. Gay (9 points, 4 assists) - Gay connected on at least three three-pointers for the fifth time this year... He has made multiple three-point baskets in 11 games this season

* Tyrone Shelley (10 points, 7 rebounds) - Shelley reached the double-figure plateau for the eighth time this year and for the first time since scoring 12 at UNLV on Jan. 13... Shelley had seven total rebounds in his last four games combined. Tonight, he grabbed seven... The sophomore connected on multiple three-point shots for the first time since hitting two at Pacific on Nov. 25

* Kelvin Davis (12 points) - Davis posted his seventh double-digit scoring game of the year... The Aztecs are a perfect 7-0 when he scores 10 or more points this year... The senior has reached double figures in three of his last five games and has scored at least eight points in four of his last five outings
