AZTEC STORY LINES
- San Diego State opens the 2010 women's tennis season this Saturday when it plays host to UC Riverside and CS Fullerton at Aztec Tennis Center. This is the sixth straight season in which the Aztecs have opened the season with a doubleheader against both Big West Conference schools.

- SDSU has swept both season-opening matches the previous five seasons. In fact, in each of the last three years, the Aztecs have defeated the Titans, 6-1, while blanking the Highlanders, 7-0.

- The Scarlet and Black have won 13 consecutive season-opening matches. SDSU's last loss on opening day occurred on Jan. 23, 1996, at Pepperdine by a score of 8-1.

- The Aztecs enter the UC Riverside match with a perfect 5-0 record vs. the Inland Empire school. Against CS Fullerton, SDSU has an unblemished mark of 23-0.

- In its history, San Diego State has enjoyed a lot of success against its Big West counterparts. In 137 all-time matches against the league, SDSU is 124-13.

- SDSU will look to improve upon its 34-17 all-time record at the five-year old Aztec Tennis Center. The Aztecs have won 13 straight home openers overall.

- Head coach Peter Mattera is entering his 17th season. The San Diego State graduate has guided the Aztecs to a 245-168 record and to 11 NCAA Tournament appearances, including a berth in the tourney last season.
