SAN DIEGO - The San Diego State water polo team continued its tradition in marching in the annual Martin Luther King Day Parade this past Saturday. The 30th annual parade made its way from PETCO Park all the way through the East Village area of downtown San Diego.

The Aztecs have been active participants in the parade since the beginning of the 2000 season. For the last 10 years, SDSU has marched in the parade in the morning, only to return to Montezuma Mesa to play in their yearly Red/Black scrimmage in the afternoon.

This year, freshmen Amber Pezzolla and Alex Ford held the San Diego State banner, which introduced SDSU President Stephen L. Weber and Vice President for Student Affairs Dr. James R. Kitchen to those in attendance.
