SAN DIEGO - San Diego State Athletics is encouraging fans to wear black to Saturday's pivotal Mountain West Conference game between the home-standing Aztecs and the visiting 14th-ranked Brigham Young Cougars in an effort to "Black Out" Viejas Arena. The contest is set for Saturday, Jan. 23, with game time slated for 7 p.m. PT.
All fans in attendance will receive a black Aztec fight song rally towel, courtesy of Associated Students.
San Diego State (14-5; 3-2 MWC) returns to Viejas Arena looking to protect a 14-game homecourt winning streak, including a perfect 9-0 mark this season, after claiming its third-ever win at Utah on Tuesday night. BYU (18-1; 3-0 MWC), meanwhile, enters Wednesday's game vs. Wyoming having won 13 straight games and in first place in the Mountain West.
Tickets for the game can be purchased online at GoAztecs.com, by calling the SDSU ticket office at (619) 283-7378, or by visiting the SDSU ticket office at Qualcomm Stadium Window E or the Viejas Arena box office.
Current San Diego State students receive free admission to the game by showing their Red ID at the Viejas Arena box office.
All fans, including students, are encouraged to secure their tickets early as this game routinely draws huge crowds.
