TEAM NOTES

  • San Diego State improved to 9-0 at Viejas Arena this season and won its 14th consecutive home game dating back to last season. This is the fifth longest homecourt win streak in school history and the longest since the Aztecs put together a 17-game streak during from 1981 to 1982.
  • The Aztecs snap a brief two-game losing streak and have now gone 64 consecutive games without suffering a three-game losing streak. The last time San Diego State was in danger of dropping three in a row was last season and SDSU snapped the slide with a victory at TCU.
  • San Diego State was victorious after trailing by 14 points in the contest. It matches the second largest come from behind victory of the Steve Fisher era, eclipsed only when SDSU rallied from 18 down to defeat Monmouth on Nov. 22, 2004 In that game. SDSU trailed 26-8 before rallying for a 69-65 victory.
  • San Diego State overcame an 11-point second-half deficit. It is the fourth-largest second-half comeback of the Steve Fisher era and the eighth time SDSU has rallied from a double-digit second-half deficit. It is the largest second-half rally for SDSU since the Aztecs rallied from 11 down against Utah on Jan. 27, 2007.
  • San Diego State improved to 3-3 this season when trailing at intermission. This is the 37th time in the Steve Fisher era the Aztecs have been victorious after trailing after 20 minutes.
  • San Diego State is 9-0 this season and has won 15 consecutive games when wearing white.

INDIVIDUAL NOTES

  • Billy White (16 points, 6 rebounds): White, in his second game back from injury, reached double figures in scoring for the 10th time this year and the 38th time in his career... White led the team in scoring for the fifth time this year and for the 12th time in his career.
  • Malcolm Thomas (11 points, 9 rebounds, 6 assists): Thomas reached double figures in scoring for a season-best fifth straight game, which is his second-longest streak of his career... Thomas has scored 10 or more points nine times this season and 31 times in his career... The junior has collected seven or more rebounds in eight straight games... Thomas led the team in rebounding for the eighth time this year... Thomas set a career high with six assists, which also was a team high tonight.
  • Kelvin Davis (10 points): Davis posted his fifth game of the season with at least two three-point field goals... All of his 10 points came in the second half.
  • Kawhi Leonard (9 points): Leonard matched his career high two blocked shots.
  • D.J. Gay (9 points): Gay knocked down a three-pointer for the 12th straight game... The junior has made multiple threes in a game for the 10th consecutive outing
  • Chase Tapley (6 points): Tapley knocked at least two three-pointers in a game for the fourth time this season and for the second time in his last three games... His two three-point field goals ties his career high.
