AZTEC STORY LINES
- San Diego State plays host to the Aztec Classic this weekend at SDSU Sports Deck. The two-day event will feature Oregon State, Seattle, UNLV and the host Aztecs. The action starts Friday with Seattle and UNLV at 1:30 p.m. PT and will be followed by the Beavers and SDSU at 4 p.m. On Sunday, OSU and UNLV will lock horns at 11:30 a.m. and will give way to Seattle and San Diego State at 2 p.m.
- The Aztecs are coming off a 2-1 overtime win against UC Irvine on Sunday. The victory was SDSU's third straight and first OT win since Nov. 2, 2007. San Diego State was 0-4-5 in its previous nine overtime contests and 0-1-2 this season. The Scarlet and Black are also unbeaten in a season-high four consecutive matches.
- Even with its win over the West's No. 6 team in UC Irvine, SDSU still finds itself tied for 10th in the NSCAA Pacific Region poll. Oddly enough, the Aztecs are tied with Oregon State, their opponent on Friday.
- SDSU has been nearly unbeatable at home against non-conference foes recently. The Aztecs are 8-1-1 in their last 10 at SDSU Sports Deck vs. non-Mountain West Conference opponents, a streak that dates to the 2007 campaign. The one blemish came in the second game of the year when SDSU fell to CS Northridge.
- SDSU is in the midst of a seven-game homestand and so far the results have been good. Three games into the homestand, the Aztecs find themselves with a perfect 3-0 record. San Diego State is 4-1-0 this season at SDSU Sports Deck.
- The Aztecs have scored two goals in each of their last three matches, which marks the first time they have accomplished the feat this season. On the flip side, SDSU has limited its opponents to one goal or less in four straight and in six of its last seven outings.
- With six wins, San Diego State has equaled last season's win total. In 2008, the Aztecs finished with a record of 6-10-3, but they currently boast a mark of 6-3-2.
- Junior Aubree Southwick has 198 career saves and passed Katherine Judkins (1996-99) for second in school history. Southwick needs just seven saves to become the SDSU's career leader. The Aztecs' all-time leader is Lorena Snyder (1990-93), who finished her career with 204 saves.

Oregon State
The Beavers are 7-2-0 this season and are receiving votes in the NSCAA top 25 poll ... OSU is also tied for 10th with SDSU in the latest Pacific Region poll ... Oregon State is coming off a 1-0 loss to No. 4 Portland ... Prior to the defeat, the Beavers had won seven straight ... Chelsea Buckland leads OSU in goals and points with 4 and 9, respectively ... In goal is the duo of Colleen Boyd and Ashley Wood ... Boyd is 4-2-0, while Wood is 3-0-0; both have 0.67 goals-against averages (GAA).
Seattle
The Redhawks are 5-6-1 and are winless in their last two outings ... Seattle started the season by winning four of its first five, but have fallen on hard times recently, going 1-5-1 since ... Kara Kuttler is SU's top offensive threat as she leads the team with six goals and 14 points ... Madison Goverde has logged every minute for Seattle and has four shutouts and a GAA of 0.90.
UNLV
The Rebels are 3-3-4 after defeating Southern Utah, 2-0, in their last outing ... Prior to the win, UNLV was 0-2-3 in its previous five ... Colette Jepson, Shannon Hughes and Jenna Larkin lead the team offensively as they each have two goals and four points ... Alicia Lugo has started at goalkeeper in every game and has a GAA of 0.82 ... Lugo also has four shutouts on the year.
AZTECS VS. THE OPPOSITION
Oregon State
The Aztecs are 1-6-0 all time against the Beavers ... SDSU has been shutout the last three meetings, two of which were in Corvallis ... The last time the two schools met was in 2004 and OSU emerged with a 1-0 victory at home ... In 2003, SDSU played host and was downed 1-0 ... The Aztecs' last and only win in the series came in 1991 when they claimed a 1-0 decision.
