SAN DIEGO - Aztecs Now, a weekly television show featuring San Diego State athletics, is set to premiere on Wednesday, Sept. 2. The 30-minute show, shot in high definition, will debut exclusively on Channel 4 San Diego at 4:30 p.m. and then re-air at 10 p.m. PT.
Hosted by SDSU football and men's basketball play-by-play announcer Ted Leitner, the show will highlight head coach Brady Hoke, a football student-athlete and a San Diego State Olympic sport. In each episode, Hoke and a selected football player will review the previous week and look forward to the game ahead. The Olympic sport feature, meanwhile, will give fans an in-depth look at one of SDSU's other 17 sports on campus.
The show is scheduled to run throughout the 2009 football campaign with the exception of Wednesday, Oct. 7, when the Aztecs are in the middle of their bye week. Aztecs Now will resume the following week on Oct. 14.
The executive producers of Aztecs Now are David Berry and Tami Rogers.
Aztecs Now can also be seen on The Mtn. (San Diego Cox Cable channel 320, Orange County Cox Cable 313, DirecTV channel 616) beginning Sept. 2, on Wednesdays at 5 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. PT.
