The SDSU women's basketball team will try to claim its second consecutive San Diego Surf `N Slam title Wednesday, when the Aztecs take on Auburn in the championship game at 7 p.m. PT at Viejas Arena.

San Diego State has won four straight Surf `N Slam games over the last three seasons, including a stunning upset of previously unbeaten and No. 4 Texas a year ago for their first Surf `N Slam title. The Aztecs, who will be playing their final regular-season, non-conference contest of 2009-10, are a combined 19-2 on their home floor over the last two campaigns entering the first-ever meeting with the Tigers.

San Diego State (7-4) advanced to the championship of the Surf `N Slam for the third time in the tournament's five-year history by edging Wake Forest on Monday, 63-62. Auburn, meanwhile, also won by a single point over Valparaiso later in the evening, 51-50, to improve to 9-3.

Wake Forest and Valparaiso will square off in the consolation game at 5 p.m. PT on Wednesday, followed by the championship game between the Aztecs and the Tigers. The title contest will feature a live audio call by Chris Ello, while a live video feed and live stats will be available for both games on the Aztecs' official website, goaztecs.com.
