The San Diego State women's basketball team (4-4) looks to get back to its winning ways Friday when it plays host to Long Beach State (3-5) at Viejas Arena beginning at 7 p.m. PT. The Aztecs will be trying to start a new streak after a 62-61 overtime loss Tuesday to Pepperdine, which snapped the team's regular season home win streak, dating back to 2007-08, at 18 games.

Playing its first overtime contest in three years, SDSU trailed for most of the game and by as many as 11 points, but was able to tie it to force overtime. A Jazmine Jackson lay-up with less than a second left, however, gave the visitors the one-point win.

San Diego State, which plays its third and final game against a Big West opponent this season, looks to continue its recent success against Long Beach State. The Aztecs defeated the 49ers, 67-59, in Long Beach last year for their fourth-straight win in the series. The 49ers, who had won the first 35 meetings, are coming off back-to-back losses to Pac-10 teams USC and Oregon.

Friday's game at Viejas Arena will feature a live audio and video feed with Chris Ello, as well as live stats, on goaztecs.com.
