"Our guys played with great effort and for the most part we competed very hard. We had a couple stops late and forcing them to shoot air balls but that hurt us. If the ball hits the rims we are ready and better prepared for the rebound but it didn't happen. We have to get a body on a man. I thought our zone was effective for most of the night. We did a good job against them defensively. They shot 38 percent from the floor and 28 percent from three."
"This was a team that beat us by 25 last year. They just drilled us. So I'm pleased with the improvement. We were three to four offensive rounds from winning this game. It was that close."
"I thought our execution was perfect on the last play. We set the screen and Mychal (Ladd) had a good shot."
