TEAM NOTES
* San Diego State held Utah scoreless for the third and fourth quarters. It was the first time the Aztecs held a nationally ranked opponent scoreless in back-to-back quarters since playing No. 21 Colorado State on Nov. 17, 2002 (2nd & 3rd quarters).

* SDSU held a team scoreless for a whole half for the first time since shutting out UNLV in the first half on Nov. 10, 2007 ... It was the first time the Aztecs pulled the trick in the second half since a UNLV game on Nov. 20, 2004.

* The Aztecs scored a touchdown for the 37th straight game.

* Today's temperature at kick-off was 40 degrees, the coldest game the Aztecs have played in since Nov. 13, 2004 at Air Force (W, 37-31), where it was 29 degrees.

OFFENSIVE NOTES
* Aztec signalcaller Ryan Lindley threw for 207 yards in today's contest to pass Adam Hall (5,173) and move into eighth-place on SDSU's career passing yard chart with 5,366 ... It was his ninth 200-yard game (of 11) this season and 15th of his career ... He also tossed his 38th career TD pass to get within one of Don Horn's (1965-66) eighth-place total of 38 ... Lindley now has at least one touchdown pass in 16 of his last 17 contests.

* Brandon Sullivan rushed for 55 yards in today's game. He now has 381 yards over his last five games, after rushing for just 168 yards over his first four contests (he missed Air Force/New Mexico games) ... With the 55 yards on the ground, Sullivan is at 954 for his career, just 46 short of the 1,000-yard mark.

* DeMarco Sampson had four receptions for a team-high 76 yards ... He now has 973 career receiving yards, 27 short of 1,000 ... He also caught a pass for the 13th consecutive game, dating back to last season.

* Dominique Sandifer caught his second career/season touchdown pass in the fourth quarter ... His 74 receiving yards was a career and season best (previous high was 70, set against New Mexico on Oct. 31, 2009).

DEFENSIVE NOTES
* Linebacker Marcus Yarbrough led the Aztecs with a career-high nine tackles ... His previous high was seven, set against New Mexico (Oct. 31, 2009).

* Linebacker Luke Laolagi tied his season high with six tackles (Air Force, Sept. 26)

SPECIAL TEAMS NOTES
* Aztec punter Brian Stahovich had eight punts for 376 yards on the day for a 47.0 average. His first boot was a career-long 67 yards, besting his previous career long of 65, set at San Jose State on Sept. 13, 2008. His season best coming into the day was 59, which happened at home against New Mexico on Oct. 31 ... Three of his first four punts went for over 50 yards.
