SAN DIEGO - Midfielder Cat Walker has been named one of CollegeSoccer360.com's 27 Primetime Performers of the Week for the playing period of Nov. 2-8. The junior is one of just six midfielders to earn national honors during a week in which NCAA Tournament berths were on the line.

The Folsolm, Calif., native helped the Aztecs bring home their first-ever Mountain West Conference tournament championship after scoring goals against Utah and No. 8 BYU. In the semifinal game against the third-seeded Utes, Walker provided the tying goal in the 83rd minute. Later in the second overtime, SDSU knocked in the winning goal to advance to the title game. With the MWC's automatic bid up for grabs two days later, Walker netted her second long-range goal in as many games in the first half as the Aztecs went on to defeat the Cougars on their home field to win the tournament.

Bookmarking her on-field performance were a handful of individual awards for the team's leading scorer and point-getter. Prior to the tournament, Walker was named the league's offensive player of the year and placed on the all-conference first team. Then after celebrating the team's MWC tournament championship, Walker was named tourney MVP and earned a spot on the all-tournament squad.

For the season, Walker has 10 goals and five assists for a total of 25 points. Of her 10 goals, five are of the game-winning variety.
