2009 MWC Women's Soccer Championships Bracket in PDF Format
The San Diego State women's soccer team earned the No. 2 seed in the Mountain West Conference Championships, which are set for Wednesday-Saturday, Nov. 4-7, in Provo, Utah. As a result of their seeding, the Aztecs received a quarterfinal bye and a spot in the semifinals.
SDSU (12-3-5), which posted a record of 5-0-2 in league play, finished in second place behind league champion BYU. The Cougars completed their Mountain West slate with a record of 6-0-1 and will be the tourney's top seeded team.
The Aztecs will play on Thursday, Nov. 5, at noon MT/11 a.m. PT at Brigham Young's South Stadium. SDSU will take on the winner of Wednesday's quarterfinal match between third-seeded Utah (9-9-2, 4-2-1 MWC) and sixth-seeded TCU (9-9-0, 2-5-0 MWC).
SDSU's semifinal match will be televised live by The Mtn. with Bill Riley and Mark Rogondino calling the action. The Mtn. is available in the San Diego market on Cox Cable channel 320 and DIRECTV channel 616 and in Orange County, Calif., on Cox Cable 265.
The Aztecs head into the conference tournament having not dropped a match in their last 13 outings, going 9-0-4 in the process, and winners of five straight. The 13-game unbeaten streak is the longest in a single season in school history.
