AZTEC STORY LINES
- San Diego State returns to SDSU Sports Deck on Friday to play host to New Mexico before heading out to Las Vegas to take on UNLV on Sunday. The Aztecs are coming off a 2-0 weekend that featured wins at Wyoming and Air Force. The match with the Lobos is designated as Senior Day and the Aztecs' four seniors (Millie Allen, Allie Crowson, Jessica Gordon, Heather Vandevanter) will be honored before the opening tap.

- SDSU, winners of two straight, is unbeaten in its last 10 games and the streak is the school's longest since 1998 when it went 12 consecutive games without a loss (12-0). The Aztecs last suffered defeat on Sept. 11 at Arizona State in overtime, 2-1.

- For their efforts, goalkeeper Aubree Southwick and forward Niki Fernandes were named MWC Players of the Week on Monday. Southwick garnered defensive honors after posting two shutouts, while Fernandes was the co-offensive player of the week as a result of her game-winning goal and assist at Wyoming.

- With its 2-0 win at Wyoming and 1-0 victory at Air Force, San Diego State has shut out consecutive opponents for the first time this season. For the year, the Aztecs have seven shutouts to their credit. On the flip side, SDSU is the only Mountain West Conference team to have not been shutout in 2009.

- The Aztecs look to continue their impressive defensive effort this week as they have not allowed a goal in their last 193 minutes and 21 seconds. The last goal scored on San Diego State came on Oct. 10 when Utah scored at 86:39.

- San Diego State's nine victories this season matches the 2007 squad for the most by a Mike Friesen-coached team. With a win in either of this week's games, the Aztecs will reach double figures in victories for the first time since 2005 and for just the third time this decade.

- During its 10-game unbeaten run, San Diego State is 6-0-4 and allowing an average of 0.70 goals per game. The Aztecs have also outshot their opponents, 144-100, hold a 67-40 advantage in shots on goal and own a 45-28 lead in corner kicks.
