AZTEC STORY LINES
- San Diego State hits road for the first time in nearly a month and visits Wyoming and Air Force. The Aztecs opened Mountain West Conference play against No. 13 Brigham Young and Utah at home last week and finished with a pair of double-overtime ties.
- SDSU is unbeaten in its last eight games and the streak is the school's longest since 1998 when it went 12 consecutive games without a loss (12-0). The Aztecs last suffered a defeat on Sept. 11 at Arizona State in overtime, 2-1.
- During its eight-game unbeaten run, San Diego State is 4-0-4 and allowing an average of 0.88 goals per game. The Aztecs have also outshot their opponents, 118-82, hold a 53-33 advantage in shots on goal and own a 36-25 lead in corner kicks.
- Prior to its unbeaten streak covering seven games, San Diego State was outscored 10-8. Since its last loss, the Aztecs have given up only seven goals, while scoring 13 of their own.
- The Aztecs have received scoring contributions from multiple players during a period where they have gone 4-0-4. A total of 11 players have scored at least one goal during the eight-game span with only Cat Walker and Niki Fernandes scoring twice.
- SDSU is 2-2-2 on the road this season, with its last two-game road swing producing a record of 0-1-1. The Cowgirls are the hottest team in the Mountain West Conference having won five straight, including winning their first three league games, all of which have come on the road ... The MWC leaders are 9-4-2 overall with their last five wins coming against UC Riverside, at Air Force, at Northern Colorado, at New Mexico and at TCU ... Wyoming sports a 4-2-0 record at home, but is just 1-2-0 in its last three at Louis S. Madrid Sports Complex ... Emma Wilson leads the Cowgirls in points with nine, while five others lead the team in scoring with three goals apiece ... Wilson, meanwhile, leads the conference with seven assists ... Goalkeeper Courtney Merkle leads the MWC in save percentage (.854) and ranks second in saves (70) and saves per game (.467) ... Merkle's goals-against average (0.78) is third-best in the league.
Air Force
The Falcons are 2-11-1 and winless in three attempts inside the conference this season ... Air Force has dropped five straight and nine of its last 10 ... AFA has played two close games recently, losing 1-0 at TCU and New Mexico in its last two outings ... The Academy owns wins over New Hampshire (1-0) and Austin Peay (2-1) ... Stephanie Patterson leads the team in offense with seven points after scoring twice and dishing out three assists ...
