SDSU Fall Classic I Brackets in PDF Format
The San Diego State women's tennis team opens its 2009-10 season this Friday as it plays host to the SDSU Fall Classic I at Aztec Tennis Center. Doubles action will start things off on Friday at 10 a.m. and will be followed by singles play. Saturday and Sunday competition is set for 9 a.m. starts.
The tournament, which consists of one doubles bracket and three singles draws, will feature players from Arizona, Cal State Northridge, San Diego and San Diego State.
The Aztecs return to the courts for the first time since advancing to their 21st NCAA Tournament in April. SDSU returns five players, including all-Mountain West doubles selection Julia Trunk, off a 2009 squad that finished the year with a record of 17-9.
Following this weekend's tourney, San Diego State will compete in the ITA West Regionals at nearby Barnes Tennis Center, Oct. 22-26, and will wrap up fall action by playing host to the SDSU Fall Classic II, Nov. 6-8.
