SERIES NOTES
-SDSU dropped to 9-19 all-time against the Falcons and 4-11 at Falcon Stadium.

BRIAN'S BOOTS
-SDSU sophomore punter Brian Stahovich, who ranks first in the MWC in punting average, booted season-long 57-yard punts in both the second quarter and the third quarter. He also had two other 56-yard efforts in the third quarter. Stahovich now has seven kicks of more than 50 yards (out of 19 attempts) in 2009 and 15 for his career. He entered today's game ranked seventh nationally in punt average at 45.2 yards per kick.
Stahovich's punting average today of 52.5 is fourth in Aztec single-game history.

BROWN BULLETS
-SDSU wideout Vincent Brown, who entered the game ranked second nationally in receiving yards per game (141.3), extended his streak of consecutive outings with 100 or more receiving yards to five against the Falcons. Brown had 10 catches for 123 yards and has five or more catches in all four contests this season, including double-figures in each of his last two outings. He is the fourth SDSU player to record five consecutive 100-yard receiving games. He is also tied for third in school history in most consecutive 100-yard receiving games with five. Brown has six, 100-yard receiving games overall in his 28 career contests.

- With his fourth-quarter touchdowns, Brown has at least one TD in each of the season's four contests.

- Brown moved up three slots in SDSU career history in receptions with 129, passing up Webster Slaughter (1984-85), who caught 122 passes, and Darius Durham (1979-82), who caught 127 passes. Brown is tied for 12th place with Craig Scoggins.

DEFENSIVE PROGRESS
- San Diego State did not allow an offensive touchdown against the Falcons this afternoon. It marks just the 33rd time in its' Division I era (since 1969) that SDSU has held an opponent without an offensive TD in a game. The last time an SDSU opponent did not score an offensive touchdown was Dec. 2, 2006, in a 17-6 victory over Colorado State in San Diego.

- The Aztec defense held the Air Force offense without an offensive TD for just the second time in the two schools' 28 all-time meetings. The only other time SDSU turned the trick was in the 2003 match-up, which resulted in a 24-3 Aztec win.

- In its last two meetings with the Air Force Academy, San Diego State gave up an average of 571 yards of total offense, including 473 yards (401 rushing) in the 2008 meeting. Despite the loss, this year's Aztec defense surrendered only 294 yards and 12 first downs. Air Force scored 23 of its 26 points off SDSU turnovers and started four drives in Aztec territory.

-The game with Air Force is the second time this season the SDSU defense has held an opponent to fewer than 300 yards of total offense (also vs. Southern Utah - 279 yards).

-Air Force's 51 yards passing are the fewest by an Aztec opponent since the Falcons had only 47 yards on Oct. 21, 2006, in a 19-12 SDSU win.

-Air Force's 12 first downs are the fewest by an SDSU opponent since UTEP also had 12 in the 2006 season-opener.

MILLING'S MOMENTS
- Aztec senior linebacker Jerry Milling became the first SDSU player to log double-figures in tackles this season with his 12 against the Falcons. It is Milling's third career game with 10 or more stops and beats his previous career-best for a single game of 11, which he set last year at Notre Dame.

Sophomore Miles Burris also had a career-best with nine tackles to rank second on the team.

OTHER NOTES
- Aztec sophomore Logan Ketchum made his first career start at linebacker. SDSU redshirt freshman Alec Johnson also made his first start at left guard.

- True freshman Preston King logged his first career carries.

- Aztec redshirt freshmen D.J. Shields and Dominuque Sandifer each recorded their first career receptions today.

- Ryan Lindley threw for 200 or more yards for the sixth straight game.
