SAN DIEGO - After having two weeks off, the San Diego State cross country team will play host to the 65th annual Aztec Invitational presented by Courtyard Marriott San Diego Central on Saturday, Sept. 19 at Balboa Park. Over 20 teams are expected to compete.

The event will feature both a Men's and Women's Invitational race. The day starts at 9:00 a.m. with the 5k Women's race, followed by the 8k Men's race at 9:30 a.m.

The Aztecs look to build off their strong performance at the Cal State Fullerton Opener, where both Marianne Hogan and Rachel Williams posted top-25 finishes. Williams was one of two current SDSU runners that established then lifetime bests at last year's Aztec Invitational, along with junior Michelle Martinez.

General information on the race can be found on the SDSU cross country page on goaztecs.com. Complete results will also be posted on the official athletic site of San Diego State at the conclusion of the race.
