SAN DIEGO - The San Diego State football game at Idaho, which is being broadcast by Idaho television affiliate SWX, will be carried locally by Channel 4 San Diego on Saturday, Sept. 19. Live coverage of the game will begin at 2 p.m. PT, and will also be shown in Orange County on Cox Cable Channel 3.
Sonic, a corporate sponsor of San Diego State Athletics, helped bring the SDSU-Idaho game to the San Diego television market.
The Aztecs are coming off a 35-19 win over Southern Utah this past Saturday. SDSU will look to carry that momentum into Moscow, Idaho, and to match the success of last season when they defeated the Vandals, 45-17, at Qualcomm Stadium. The two sides have played on three occasions overall, including San Diego State's only visit to Idaho in 2002.
Following its trip to the Pacific Northwest, SDSU will continue on the road for its Mountain West Conference opener at Air Force on Sept. 26. The Aztecs' next home game is Oct. 3 when they face New Mexico State. Brian Sipe replica jerseys, presented by Associated Students, will be handed out to the first 20,000 fans who enter the SDSU-NMSU game. Tickets for all remaining Aztec home contests can be purchased online at GoAztecs.com or by calling the ticket office at 619-283-SDSU.
