GORDON TO WALKER AND BACK
For the first time in 2009, San Diego State's top-two leading scorers in 2008 connected with each other to help the Aztecs defeat San Jose State, 1-0. Jessica Gordon, who had 12 points a year ago, sent a cross from the left side that found Cat Walker, who scored scored the game winner. Then two days later at No. 4 Stanford, Walker (23 points in 2008) returned the favor by finding Gordon, who knocked in the Aztecs' second goal of the game. The duo currently lead the team in points as Gordon has four and Walker three.
SOUTHWICK MOVING UP CAREER SAVES LIST
Junior goalkeeper Aubree Southwick is well on her way to becoming the Aztecs' all-time saves leader with 172 career stops. She is currently fourth in school history and is just 14 saves shy of tying Linnea Quinones for third all-time. The program's career saves leader is Lorena Snyder, who tallied 204 denials from 1990 to 1993.
