SAN DIEGO - The San Diego State University athletic department announced today that single-game tickets for all six home games will go on sale Monday, Aug. 3, at 9 a.m. PT.
Tickets will be available online at GoAztecs.com, Ticketmaster.com, in person at the SDSU Qualcomm Stadium ticket office (window E) or any Southern California Ticketmaster outlet and by phone at 619-283-SDSU (7378).
Tickets will be sold on a first-come, first-served basis. Prices start at $11 for all home games except the Retro Night game on Oct. 31 against New Mexico. Tickets for the game against the Lobos will be priced at a 2-for-1 rate, with a minimum of two tickets purchased.
San Diego State opens the home portion of its schedule against Southern Utah on Sept. 12. The contest will be the first home game for new head coach Brady Hoke and following the game, the annual KGB SkyShow will take place. This will be the fifth consecutive year that the SkyShow has followed an Aztec football game, with the previous four games averaging crowds of 54,997.
Following a pair of road games, the Aztecs return home to face New Mexico State on Oct. 3. That night is Brian Sipe Replica Jersey Night, with the first 20,000 fans in attendance receiving a replica San Diego State jersey of the 1980 NFL most valuable player and current SDSU assistant coach. This is the second annual replica jersey giveaway. Last season, Aztec fans received a replica jersey of SDSU's only three-time All-America football player, Marshall Faulk.
The Aztecs host four Mountain West Conference opponents this season, including the teams picked to finish one and two in the preseason poll. The Aztecs open league play against Brigham Young on Oct. 17. The game also serves as the annual homecoming contest.
The preseason pick to win the conference, TCU, comes to town on Nov. 7. That is Hall of Fame and Aztec Legacy Weekend, with the new 2009 Aztec Hall of Fame class being honored during the game.
Other Mountain West Conference home games are the aforementioned Oct. 31 contest against New Mexico and Senior Night against Wyoming on Nov. 14.
Season tickets for the six-game home schedule start at just $56 or as little as $9.33 per game and are available through the Aztec Ticket Office at (619) 283-SDSU.
