SAN DIEGO - The San Diego State softball team will play its makeup game against Brigham Young on Saturday, May 2 instead of the rescheduled May 1 date, head coach Kathy Van Wyk announced Tuesday. The game, which was originally postponed on April 16 because of snow in Provo, Utah, and moved to May 1, will now be played on May 2 at 1 p.m., the first game of a doubleheader at SDSU Softball Stadium.
The Cougars (34-14, 7-0 Mountain West Conference) will be the home team in the first game and the Aztecs (31-15, 8-2 MWC) will be the home team in the nightcap. Friday's game will go on as originally scheduled with SDSU and BYU meeting in a solo contest at 6 p.m.
San Diego State begins a five-game homestand to close out the regular season Thursday at 6 p.m. against Utah.
