SAN DIEGO - San Diego State will make its fifth appearance ever at PETCO Park, the home of the San Diego Padres, when its hosts UC Davis this Friday, April 3, at 2:30 p.m. Aztec junior right-hander Stephen Strasburg is scheduled to start on the mound against the Aggies. That game precedes a 7:00 p.m. exhibition contest between the Padres and Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim.
The first 400 fans to purchase tickets in person the Aztec Ticket Office at Qualcomm Stadium beginning at 9AM on Tuesday (Mach 31) will receive a free Stephen Strasburg replica jersey t-shirt. Tickets are available for $16, $28, and $36.
Tickets must be purchased by 5PM Wednesday, April 1st, there is a limit of one t-shirt per ticket purchased and tickets must be purchased for the April 3rd baseball game at PETCO Park. 50% of the sale of tickets by the Aztec Ticket Office will directly support Aztec Baseball.
SDSU has a record of 2-2 at PETCO Park including a 4-0 win over Houston on March 11, 2004, when they set the all-time collegiate single-game attendance record with 40, 106 fans.
San Diego State is in action today (Tuesday, March 31) as it visits UC Santa Barbara for a contest scheduled to begin at 2:00 p.m. (PT). On Wednesday, April 1, UCSB will be at Tony Gwynn Stadium for a game slated for a 2:00 p.m. start.
