ST. GEORGE, Utah - After a month off, the San Diego State women's golf team resumed competiton Tuesday at the BYU Dixie Classic in St. George, Utah, logging a 36-hole score of 47-over 623 to stand in fifth place out of 15 teams at the par-72, 5,981-yard Entrada at Snow Canyon. The Aztecs are just three strokes behind fourth-place Washington, but Denver, which is ranked 20th nationally, leads the remainder of the field by a whopping 28 strokes.

Freshman Malin Enarsson (Gothenburg, Sweden) is once again leading SDSU with her 4-over 148 to tie for fourth place out of the 82 golfers. Enarsson was tied for second after the first 18 holes with her 1-under 71, including 15 pars and a pair of birdies. In the afternoon, however, she carded a 77 with six bogeys in a nine-hole span, but is still just two strokes out of second place.

Enarsson is the Aztecs' top golfer by nine strokes, as sophomore Stephanie Arcala (Oceanside, Calif.) and Samantha Roberts (Carlsbad, Calif.) are tied for 23rd and 26th place at 13- and 14-over-par respectively. Roberts tied with Enarsson for the best score in the second round with a 77.

Senior Maki Kamimura (West Covina, Calif.) is tied for 36th place with a 16-over 160, while junior Heather Wilson (Chula Vista, Calif.) is tied for 49th after consecutive rounds of 82.

Denver's Stephanie Sherlock is the only golfer currently under par with her 142, and is four strokes better than her two DU teammates, Sarah Faller and Dawn Shockley.

San Diego State will be paired with Washington and Wyoming for Wednesday's third and final round, beginning at 8:30 a.m. MT in St. George. Live stats and results are available on golfstat.com.
