RANCHO SANTA FE, Calif. - The San Diego State men's golf team dropped its final match against Stanford, 3-1-1, on the final day of the Callaway Collegiate Match Play Championships. With the defeat, the Aztecs placed sixth at the exclusive 16-team event held at The Farms Golf Club in Rancho Santa Fe, Calif.

Senior Bryan Martin was the lone Aztec to claim a victory on the final day. Martin and Daniel Lim were all square through 14, but earned Martin would earn the win over Lim, 3 and 1. Sophomore Matt Hoffenberg, meanwhile, halved his match with Dodge Kemmer.

The final three Aztec matches all remained close to the end, but the Cardinal would earn three victories over the Scarlet and Black. Johan Carlsson would be defeated by Steve Ziegler (1 up), Andrew Cooley by David Chung (2 and 1) and Alex Kang fell to Sihwan Kim (1 up).

Middle Tennessee defeated Indiana, 4-1, to win the Callaway Collegiate Match Play Championship.
