* - With its 25th victory of the season, San Diego State sets an all-time school record for most victories in a season. In 88 seasons of basketball, the Aztecs had won 24 games four times prior to this season (1938-39, 1940-41, 1996-97 and 2005-06).
* - This marks the first time the Aztecs have won a second round game in any Division I postseason tournament. The last time SDSU won a second round game was the 1967 NCAA Division II championship.
* - San Diego State snaps an eight-game losing streak against teams from automatic qualifying BCS conferences. Prior to tonight, the Aztecs' last win over one of the six BCS leagues was Nov. 18, 2006.
* - San Diego State becomes the fourth non-Big 12 school to beat Kansas Satte this season, joining Kentucky, Iowa and Oregon.
* - San Diego State has won seven of its last eight games and 12 of its last 16 games. The Aztecs improve to 6-1 during the month of March.
* - This marked Kansas State's third-worst margin of defeat in its last 16 games, eclipsed only by a 73-51 loss at Nebraska and a 94-74 loss at No. 11/8 (AP/coaches) Missouri on Feb. 25.
* - San Diego State never trailed in the victory, marking the seventh time this season the Aztecs have won a game in which it did not trail. The Aztecs have now won 19 games in which it never trailed after intermission.

Scored in double figures for the 12th time this season and the 26th time in his career... He reached double figures in consecutive games for the first time since doing it in three straight games from (Jan. 31-Feb. 7)... White had three blocked shots, which was one off his career high, and the Aztecs improved to 12-3 this season when he has at least one block.

Reached double figures for the second consecutive game and the ninth time in his last 10 outings... Spain has record 10 or more points in 26 games this season and 60 times in his four seasons at SDSU... The senior had 16 points to lead all scorers... It was the 16th time he has led the team in scoring... Spain led the team in rebounding with seven boards... He has led the team in rebounding a team-best 10 times this year.
