SAN DIEGO - The San Diego State women's tennis team took down No. 68 Purdue Thursday afternoon at the Aztec Tennis Center. With the victory the Aztecs clinched their tenth win of the season bringing their overall record to 10-3.

In doubles action Emma Cioffi and Esther Cadua defeated Anna Dushkina and Jennifer Rabot in third doubles, 8-2. Roxanne and Sierra Ellison clinched the doubles point for SDSU by downing Remi Martin and Tatiana Ganzha in second doubles, 8-3. In first doubles Holly Bagshaw and Julia Trunk were unable to get past Michelle Sammons and Stephanie Wooten, falling 8-5.

Trunk was able to fight back in singles action, defeating Sammons in first singles, 6-4, 6-2. Cioffi was just as fortunate, picking up the decision over Ganzha in third singles, 6-4, 6-3. In fourth singles Cadua could not defeat Rabot, falling in Purdue's only singles victory of the day, 6-2, 7-6 (2). Milana Yusupov claimed the victory for San Diego State by taking down Dushkina in straight sets, 6-3, 6-2. Bagshaw bounced back against Wooten in second singles, taking the match, 7-6 (5), 6-3. Olivia Colman finished off the Boilermakers by defeating Martin in fifth singles, 6-3, 4-6, 6-3.

The Aztecs will next face Harvard on March 24 at 2 p.m. PT at the Aztec Tennis Center.
