COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - San Diego State track and field athletes Decontee Kaye and Karoline Koehler were named to the all-Mountain West Conference indoor track and field teams, the league announced earlier this week. All-conference selections are awarded to the top three finishers in each event at the MWC championships.

Kaye garnered all-MWC accolades after winning the triple jump, setting a personal record of 43 feet, 8.50 inches. The senior's effort automatically qualified her for the NCAA Indoor Championships, and was the second-best mark in school history and the fourth-best in NCAA Division I this season, according to TrackShark.com.

Koehler, a native of Erfurt, Germany, earned all-MWC honors in three events, placing first in the long jump with a personal-best and school-record of 20 feet, 10.75 inches. Her effort was an NCAA Championships provisional qualifying mark even though she already secured a spot at nationals with her triple jump at the New Mexico Classic earlier this month. The senior also placed second in the triple jump (43-2.50) and finished third in the 60-meter dash with a time of 7.43.

This weekend, SDSU will travel to UC San Diego for the San Diego City Championships on Saturday, March 7.
