SAN DIEGO - San Diego State's women tennis fell to Long Beach State Friday afternoon at the Aztec Tennis Center, 4-2. On a cloudy day the Aztecs began with singles action due to the threat of rain and were unable to finish doubles due to weather.
SDSU's Esther Cadua was the first to fall, 6-3, 6-2, to Rachel Manasse. Deborah Armstrong defeated Aztec Holly Bagshaw, 6-3, 6-2. No. 68 Hannah Grady was the next 49er to pick up a win, defeating 93-ranked Julia Trunk, 7-5, 6-2.
In the match that would have clinched the win for Long Beach State, Roxanne Ellison fought back for the Aztecs taking down Jessica Weeks, 7-5, 6-2.
