RENO, Nev. - San Diego State pole vaulter Katie Vo competed at the 2009 National Pole Vault Summit on Saturday, Jan. 3, at John Ascuaga's Nugget in Reno, Nev. The competition, although of the individual variety, is the first of any kind for SDSU in 2008-09.
The Walnut Creek, Calif., native finished in 13th place in the Open Women 2 flight after clearing 10 feet, 2 inches (3.10m).
San Diego State will officially kick off the 2009 season indoors at the Mountain T's Invitational, Jan. 30-31, in Flagstaff, Ariz.
