Aztec Basketball Looks To Continue Winning Ways At Home Saturday Vs. BYU
Following its second victory over a ranked team, the San Diego State women's basketball team returns to a place that it has known nothing but winning - Cox Arena. The Aztecs are a perfect 8-0 at home this season and have claimed 10 straight overall, which ties for the 15th-longest active streak in the nation entering the weekend. SDSU will put that streak to the test Saturday against visiting Brigham Young at 2 p.m. PT, as Mountain West Conference play continues.

The Aztecs enter Saturday's contest with a 12-4 overall record and a 3-1 mark in conference action, after Wednesday's thrilling upset of No. 23 New Mexico at The Pit in Albuquerque. SDSU held on in the final minutes to claim its first victory at New Mexico since 1995, breaking a 19-game Lobo win streak in the series and handing UNM its first home loss of the season.

San Diego State is currently tied for third place in the MWC with both New Mexico and BYU at 3-1. The Cougars, who are 13-3 on the season, won 10 straight after dropping two of their first four contests and have impressive victories over TCU, Oregon and USC. The Aztecs and Cougars split last year's two meetings with the home team prevailing in both.

The afternoon game will feature a live audio/video feed from Cox Arena with Chris Ello, as well as live stats on goaztecs.com. San Diego State will be celebrating Girls and Women in Sports Day, as well as the NCAA Pack the House Challenge, on Saturday.
