Aztec Basketball Returns To Action Sunday For Rare 1 P.M. Tip-Off vs. LMU
The San Diego State women's basketball team returns to action after a 10-day break for final exams on Sunday, when the Aztecs play host to Loyola Marymount at 1 p.m. at Cox Arena. SDSU is on a two-game win streak since returning home for the entire month of December, defeating UC Riverside, 54-52, on Dec. 4, and downing Montana State, 85-70, on Dec. 11, to improve to 6-3 in 2008-09.

SDSU is taking on its second school out of the West Coast Conference, after falling to USD by just three points back on Nov. 25. The last meeting between San Diego State and Loyola Marymount took place in 2000, although the Aztecs did play on the Lions' home court in Los Angeles last season at the LMU/Ayres Hotel Thanksgiving Tournament.

The Lions are currently 8-2 on the year, falling at Fresno State Thursday night before traveling to San Diego.

Sunday's game will be streamed live on goaztecs.com with Chris Ello making the call from Cox Arena. Live stats are as available on the Aztecs' official site.
