SAN DIEGO - Tickets are still available for Saturday night's City Championship match-up between San Diego State (6-1) and the University of San Diego (4-3), which begins at 7:05 p.m. PT at Cox Arena.
Last year, SDSU defeated the Toreros at Jenny Craig Pavilion, 69-64, to give the Aztecs a 5-4 edge since Fisher arrived in town as the Aztecs' coach. San Diego State enters the game having won two straight over USD and five out of the last six overall. SDSU has also won three consecutive games over the Toreros at Cox Arena.
Game tickets can be purchased at the Aztec Center box office on Friday between 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. Students can present their RedID to receive a free game ticket.
Tickets are also available at the Cox Arena box office on Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and on Saturday, Dec. 6, beginning at noon. Students can present their RedID at the Cox box office to receive free admission to the game.
Additionally, tickets can be purchased at Window E of Qualcomm Stadium or by calling (619) 283-7378 anytime between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.
On the World Wide Web, tickets can be purchased until four hours prior to tip-off at GoAztecs.com.
The city's two Division I schools, separated by 9.4 miles, are meeting for the 40th time overall and the 11th consecutive season.
