* SIX OUT OF SEVEN
The Aztecs have six wins in seven games this season marking the seventh time in the school's Division I history that an SDSU squad has had at least a 6-1 record after seven contests. It is the third straight season San Diego State has accomplished the feat.
* REDEMPTION
SDSU returned the favor tonight after Northern Colorado came to Cox Arena last season and defeated the Aztecs. The win is the second for the Aztecs in Greeley in the history of the series and San Diego State now owns a record of 3-1 against the Bears all time.
* ROAD, NEUTRAL SITE ... DOESN'T MATTER
San Diego State extended its road/neutral winning streak to five games for the first time since accomplishing the feat in the middle of the 2005-06 Mountain West Conference campaign.
PLAYER NOTES
* Tim Shelton scored a career-high 17 points after tying his personal best of 12 in the first half alone (4-4 FG, 2-2 3FG). His effort was his first double-figure scoring performance of the season and third of his career. ... His two three-pointers in the first half were a career high and his four field goals in the first 20 minutes were a season high. ... Overall for the game, Shelton went 6-for-6 from the field, 2-for-2 from three-point range and 3-for-3 from the free-throw line.
* Kyle Spain scored 19 points to reach double figures for the seventh time in seven games... The Aztecs improve to 33-8 when scores at least 10 points in a game... He led the team in scoring for the fourth time this season and for the fifth time in the last six games.
* With his three-point field goal in the first half, Mehdi Cheriet has connected on his last four attempts.
* Kelvin Davis made a three-point field goal for the third straight game, his longest streak of the season. It's his longest streak since making at least one in four straight games last year.
