The San Diego State men's soccer team continues its four-game homestand to close the season Sunday when it takes on Cal State Bakersfield at 1 p.m. The match against the Roadrunners (4-11-0) will be the Aztecs' (5-8-3) final non-conference game of the season. SDSU (3-3-3 Pac-10) will close out its season on Nov. 15 against UCLA, which has already clinched the league title outright.

Aztec Quick Kicks

  • The Aztecs continue their four-game homestand to close out the season when they take on Cal State Bakersfield at 1 p.m. Sunday. SDSU has won all five meetings in the series, including last year's 2-0 win in San Diego. In the five matches, San Diego State has outscored the Roadrunners, 25-1. See Scouting the Roadrunners, pg. 2
  • SDSU is led by ninth-year head coach Lev Kirshner. Kirshner, just one of three coaches in the 40-year history of the program, has led the Aztecs to a 31-25-17 mark since joining the Pac-10 in 2005. See At the Helm, pg. 2
  • Senior Jorge Rosales was named the Pac-10 Player of the Week for his stellar play in net over the weekend. Rosales made a combined seven saves to help SDSU to wins over Stanford and No. 7 California. See SDSU's Jorge Rosales Named Pac-10 Player of the Week, pg. 3
  • With two straight victories, San Diego State continues to be a force in Pac-10 play. However, things could have gone a lot better if a couple of bounces would have fallen the Aztecs' way. See What Could Have Been, pg. 4
  • Sophomore Raymundo Reza continued his solid play with another goal last weekend. The midfielder leads the team with 13 points on five goals and three assists. See Reza Roof, pg. 4
