HONOLULU - San Diego State sophomore center Paris Johnson (San Diego, Calif.) was selected to the six-player all-tournament squad at the Waikiki Beach Marriott Classic in Honolulu, Hawaii on Sunday evening. This is the third career all-tournament honor for Johnson, who was also tabbed at last year's LMU Ayres Hotel Thanksgiving tournament and the annual San Diego Surf 'N Slam in late December.

Johnson averaged 22.7 points and 8.3 rebounds in the three games in Hawaii. She scored a career-best 31 points on Friday on 15-for-19 shooting from the field in a win over the Wahines. A day later, she tallied 23 points and eight boards to help SDSU to a win over Prairie View A&M. On Sunday, Johnson wrapped up competition with her third double-double of the season with 14 points and 10 boards against No. 25/22 Iowa State.

In the three games, Johnson shot 78.9 percent from the field and also tallied seven steals and six blocked shots.

The Aztecs finished with a 2-1 overall record at the three-day tournament, hosted by the University of Hawai'i, Nov. 28-30. Fifth-ranked Stanford ended up 3-0 and Purdue and Iowa State were also 2-1. Both host Hawai'i and Prairie View A&M went winless in the three games.
