Team Notes

* With the second quarter touchdown, San Diego State extended its streak of scoring at least one touchdown to 25 consecutive games.

* SDSU's 17-play scoring drive, covering 95 yards and 7:07 in the third quarter, was the team's longest in terms of plays, time of possession and yardage this season. It is the Aztecs' longest drive in terms of yardage since last season with a 97-yarder vs. TCU, the longest in terms of time of possession since a 7:09 scoring drive at Wyoming in 2006 and longest in terms of number of plays since an 18-play drive against UNLV on Oct. 26, 2002 ... The Aztecs have eight scoring drives in 2008 of more than 10 plays.

* With Waika Spencer not playing today, SDSU's number of players to play every game dropped to 19 (four seniors, six juniors, five sophomores, four freshman (two redshirt, two true)).

Individual Notes

* Russell Allen - Became SDSU's all-time career leader in assisted tackles, with 157. Allen was third entering the night with 152, surpassing both Kirk Morrison (155) and Rico Curtis (156) ... Started his 35th consecutive game ... Has at least two tackles in 47 straight games and three or more in 45 of 47 career games ... Recorded 10 or more stops in a single game for the 11th time in his career and the fifth time in 2008.

* Davion Mauldin - Returned six kickoffs for 107 yards ... Six kick-off returns tie for ninth in the SDSU game record book.

* Darren Mougey - Hauled in his fourth touchdown of the year and the sixth of his career on a 31-yard pass in the second quarter ... Caught five passes for 85 yards ... 85 yards is his second-best receiving total this year.

* Jose Perez - Logged his first career interception in the first half and the Aztecs' first INT since the Idaho game when SDSU had three in the win over the Vandals.

* Andrew Preston - Recorded 10 or more stops in a single game for the fifth time in his career and the third time in 2008.

* Brian Stahovich - Notched his eighth punt of 50 or more yards in the first half ... Averaged 43.2 yards on his five punts, dropping two inside the 20 to improve his number in that category to 13 in 2008.

* Justin Shaw - Caught his second career TD in the third quarter ... Has two TDs in the last three games.

* Willie Watters - Made his Aztec debut on the defensive line.
